Australian viewers get ready to brace yourself: Mick Molloy is making yet another return to TV.
After having his previous two projects scrapped by the Nine network, The Mick Molloy Show in 1999 and The Nation in 2007, the veteran comic is set to return via a spot in the networks Winter Olympic Commentary team.
After the controversy surrounding his most recent exile from the small screens, when he infamously urinated on the set of The Nation, the move has been seen as a gamble by Nine.
But the good news is that he will be in safe hands, with the always professional, Eddie McGuire, teaming up with Molloy for the fortnight of winter sports.
The duo will present to the public the channels prime-time highlights package, titled Vancouver Gold.
Molloy has been no stranger to the TV industry in the past year; he is currently the second member of TEN’s Before the Game, after Peter Helliar was announced as joining Seven this year.
Last year Molloy starred in The Jesters which has a second season approved by Movie Extra and in more recent times, he has also reportedly explored a new sports panel show, Between the Lines, alongside Eddie McGuire and Rachael Finch.
While the duo have not worked together in the past, their experience in the industry will be sure to see a positive performance by both of them.
Even if the sports are boring, we will be sure to be entertained by the always unpredictable Mick Molloy.
