Jamie Oliver Xmas Special

The 7PM Project is set to take a well deserved week break at the end of the year, with an interesting replacement named to fill the 7pm prime time slot.

Replacing the Project over the week break will be Jamie Oliver, in his festive season show, Jamie’s Family Christmas.

Beginning on December 28th and concluding on new years day the following year, it will run for only five episodes.

Even though Christmas will be over when the show debuts, there will be enough festive season loving to ensure it is welcomed with open eyes.

The basic run down of the show will include the British chef showing us some of the easy to make dishes over the summer period.

According to Oliver, the special will be a great way for rookie cooks to get an idea of what to do in the kitchen come Christmas time.

“It’s about simple ways to get the main elements of Christmas dinner absolutely perfect,” Oliver said.

“The best turkey in the world, the best gravy, the best roast potatoes, the best stuffing. Then he pimps the basic recipes with exciting new festive ideas.”

While it does seems pretty stupid to run the episodes after the big day has gone, Ten network officials seem to be content with the idea of running the week long series.

Who knows, maybe Ten will come to their senses on this daft idea. But for now it’s pretty funny…
