Hung

This year we’ve seen several US cable series that are short run, quality pieces that remind us all the good stuff is not coming out of network television. United States of Tara, Nurse Jackie, and although it’s longer, True Blood.

Imagine Coach Carter mixed with Californication in a television series.

The end product? The new cable series Hung.

The new sexy drama is about to hit Australia’s cable television network this months, and is expected to make the transition proves to Channel Seven early next year.

Hung is about a Detroit High School basketball coach, Ray Drecker, who is divorced form his wife, struggling to held onto his two kids, and juggling his lifestyle secrets the whole time.

All of a sudden, everything starts getting even worse. His students stop listening to him, his house burns down, the kids stop paying him any attention, and his ex wife is baking in the success provided by her new dermatologist boyfriend.

Finally, he is talked into joining a therapy group, which convinces him he can become a millionaire if he taps into his real talent.

As a result, Ray Drecker puts an add into the paper to become a male escort!

For the rest of the series you watching awe, humour, shock horror and raw emotion as Ray continues to live his double life as a struggling dad/teacher, and a male escort.
Hung really is a series about a man who thinks with his penis in more ways than one, but much to the viewers’ pleasure.
