South Park Returns to SBS

The always-controversial American animated sitcom South Park, is set to return to SBS next week for yet another season.

The Trey Parker and Matt Stone creation is now into its 13th season and despite what many may have thought in its first few years on the small screen, the shows ratings have continued to impress.

On cable TV, it still remains Comedy Central’s highest-rated program, even after 188 episodes.

The SBS has embraced the highly polarizing programme, enjoying its left-winged storylines and its effective use of satire on world issues.

The world network has been loyal to he series and will be hoping the ratings success continues for them.

South Park Season 13 has currently been screening in the US since March, played as seven episodes, with another block to air next month. SBS will air six of them.

Here is a quick rundown of what to expect in each episode:
The Ring – 14 September

Kenny takes his new girlfriend to a Jonas Brothers concert and the band gives them purity rings.

The Coon – 21 September

Cartman pretends to be a superhero that stalks in the night and fights crime

Margaritaville – 28 September

A who dunnit, with the town pointing the finger at who is responsible for the crumbling economy.

Eat, Pray, Queef – 5 October

Anticipating the conclusion to a Terrance and Phillip cliffhanger, the fourth grade boys become the victims of an April Fools joke instead.

Fishsticks – 12 October

Jimmy and Cartmen team up for a comedy routine. Kanye West makes a guest appearance.

Pinewood Derby – 19 October

Randy and Stan spend some quality father son time when building a car.
