Rove Live will continue tonight as the discussion around the regular cast members’ carry on.
Since the departure of funny-man Dave Hughes and newsreader Carrie Bickmore, who both left to concentrate on Ten’s new daily show, the 7PM Project, Rove Enterprises has been searching for suitable replacements to fill the void.
Tonight, two new faces will join the programme. Judith Lucy wil act as a replacement to Hughes and newsreader Kristy Warner will take the sport vacated by Bickmore.
The pair will join Peter Helliar, Hamish & Andy and Ryan Shelton in a new look comedy panel.
However the shows anchor, Rove McManus, said that while he was happy to welcome the new faces, the cast changes may not be finalized just yet.
“We’ve got two new faces we’ll probably be seeing before the year’s end as well,” McManus said.
“We’ve always loved having Judith as a guest on the show over the years and to now have her as a regular member of the team is not only really exiting, but a genuine honour.”
“Kristy was a standout during our long look for newsreaders and I’m thrilled that we have found a new face to television to bring into the team.”
Warner, who reads news on the Merrick and Rosso show on Nova Sydney, was just as exited to be joining the programme which will be her first stint on television.
“I’m absolutely over the moon,” Warner said.
“This week has been a whirlwind, it has all happened so fast.”
Rove, which is now in its tenth series, airs tonight at 8:30 on Channel Ten.
