Ready, Steady, Cook

Those who like cooking on a cheap budget in a short amount of time will love the reality cooking show Ready, Steady, Cook. Channel Ten’s cooking-fest is back for 2009, with some new chefs and new recipe ideas.

The show is based on the UK format where two teams (Capsicum and Tomato) cook an entrée, meal and dessert. The teams each have a professional chef and an audience member, complete with limited ingredients and cook these meals to compete to win the most votes from the audience, making them the winner of the show.

Capsicum and Tomato teams have a limited time to make the dishes and compete in a final segment to prepare a final dish. Ready, Steady Cook has become a popular day time show and was nominated at this years Logie Awards.

Host of the show Peter Everett will return for the new season including some new chefs Adam Swanson, Tom Kime, Chris Cranswick-Smith and Shane Delia. Ready, Steady Cook will return to Channel Ten on Monday, June 15th, 2pm.
