Since 1988, Home and Away has been a much loved Australian soapie. This Australian series has survived on our TV screens for the past 20 years and is not planning on disappearing anytime soon.

Centered in the fictional town of Summer Bay, just north of Sydney’s city, Home and Away focuses on the lives of the people in the small town and the challenges and drama they face.

Originally centered around characters Pippa and Tom Fletcher and the children they foster, Home and Away moved on to include all who lived in Summer Bay and takes viewers through the ‘everyday’ lives of these characters.

Viewers have been shown the trials and tribulations, romances, arguments, successes and failures of the people in the town through one of the longest running Australian soaps of all time. Who knew so much drama happen in such a small town?

Home and Away has had long term characters such as Alf Stewart (Ray Maegher) and Irene Roberts ( Lynne Mcgraner) but newcomers Nicole Franklin (Tessa James), Geoff Campbell (Lincoln Lewis) and Charlie Buckton (esther Anderson) have attracted a younger audience.

Home and Away is screened weeknights 7pm on Channel Seven.
