Australia has a new biggest loser.
Western Australia mother Lisa Hose is slowly coming to grips with her title as the shows new winner.
The 41 year old mother of two went on the Channel Ten reality weight loss show last year in the hope of losing weight, being a better role model, and enjoying her life more.
As well as achieving all those things, she also made herself a little bit richer, pocketing $370,000 for being crowned the winner of the 2010 series.
Hose is officially the first ever female winner of the show and was announced last night in front of a live audience.
She entered the competition weighing a massive 121.9 kilograms, but through hard work, exercise and determination, she was able to shed 56 kilo’s to see her half the women she was once.
Hose now tips the scales at a remarkable 65.7 kilograms and has been absolutely blown away by the support she has received in the past 24 hours.
“All I ever wanted from The Biggest Loser was to get my weight off and be a better role model to my beautiful daughters and to make my husband proud,” Hose said.
“I could never have done it without the support of my trainer Shannan Ponton. Thanks to him, I am looking forward to a new beginning with my family.”
The education assistant, who works with disabled children, just pipped Queensland’s Joe Medway, 21, for the crown, who lost 82.7 kilograms to become runner-up in the closest final of the show’s history.
