Move over ‘foxy ladies’ of Fountain lakes, there are two new girls in town. Kath and Kim may be joined on the TV screen by their ‘posh’ counterparts Prue and Trude. Kath and Kim creators and stars Jane Turner and Gina Riley are reportedly having talks with the seven network to develop a series based on the characters.

The Aussie comedy show has taken off around the country, and the new characters may be set to do the same.

The proposed Prue and Trude series will be based on the exploits of the shop assistants, according to the Herald Sun.

The spin-off show could take the form of a travel series where Prue and Trude explore the world’s best hospitality, whilst dealing with current financial crisis.

There is no word as to when or if the series will be produced, but there is always hope for Kath and Kim fans to view something a little different.
