Packed to the Rafters Delay

Melbourne’s Packed to the Rafters fans will have to wait one week longer to see the much anticipated return of the new series. It has been delayed by a week in Melbourne due to the EJ Whitten Legends Football game.

Channel 7 decided to postpone the hit TV show to avoid the football clash screened on Channel Nine. All other states will see the TV show return on June 30, but Melbourne will have a two-hour catch up on July 7.

Seven Melbourne programming chief Brad Lyons told the Herald Sun they want to expose the latest Rafters series to the biggest audience possible.

The show received hug popularity last year, winning six Logie awards and rating 1.8 million viewers each week. Rebecca Gibney scored the gold and silver Logie for the show, playing mum Julie Rafter.

The first series of Packed to the Rafters ended with Julie’s shock pregnancy, leaving regular watchers waiting for more. The TV series focuses on the lives of your everyday family Dave and Julie Rafter and their three children, Rachel, Nathan and Ben. We follow them on their everyday travels and the mishaps that happen along the way.

This years awaited return will be screened on Channel 7 on June 30, except Melbourne who will see the first episode on July 7.
