Users of social networking site Twitter have claimed that Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson was eliminated from the long running reality show Australian Idol. Those using the site wrote tweets claiming the judge was fired on the eve of the Sydney auditions.
Radio host Kyle Sandilands-fellow judge on the show- and singer Brian McFadden both posted the Idol rumour, twittering Dicko was fired and let go.
From the Twitter comments the rumour spread, with other users claiming Dicko was “devastated” from the news.
But Idol fans needn’t worry; the Internet talk was just a rumour and the Idol judge still holds his position on the popular reality show.
The gossip was started by Jackie O and McFadden as prank but ended up spreading like wild fire. There is a good reason why they tell you not to believe everything you read on the internet.
