If you always dreamed of being a star on the award winning drama Neighbors, well here is your chance!

The Aussie soap drama is now into its 25th year, and to celebrate, they are offering one lucky female viewer the chance to have a one-month role on the show.

The bad news is that it only applies to UK viewers.

Wannabe and aspiring actors need to film an audition video of themselves and why they should be on the Ramsay Street drama, then download it onto YouTube.

From here, a panel will judge all entries and come up with five finalists.

The finalists will then go to the public vote, who will come up with just two winners.

Both will then fly down under to meet with the shows producers, who will ultimately have the final say.

Neighbours has launched the careers of many big names, including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce.

The show is hoping the latest publicity ploy will give them the much needed ratings boost it needs, while hopefully building a new star.

TV controller in the UK, Richard Woolfe, said the show had a cut following, and was sure to attract some great auditions.

“Neighbours is loved and watched by millions in the UK,” he said.

“I’m thrilled we have the opportunity to find a brand new star and hand them the international stage Neighbours provides.”

An audition script can be downloaded from the British broadcaster Five’s website.
