Filed under Another British comedy Absolutely Fabulous has retained its fame, moving from UK TV screens to DVD. Known as Ab fab this sitcom was broadcast on BBC in 1992 but the show is still as popular now as it was back then.
This year is the popular UK series is being remade for the US and will screen later this year. There are 3 seasons of the comedy show, each are available on DVD.
The sitcom focuses on the lives two immature, chain-smoking, alcoholic and fashion obsessed woman, Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone. These women value fame, fashion and looks but Eddy’s daughter is the complete opposite.
Over the series we view Edina’s struggles to achieve her fame, success and a slender figure. But much of the laughs come from physical comedy, usually derived from the women’s drunken or stoned behaviour.
Each episode brings new laughs and new scenarios, making Absolutely Fabulous a unique British show.
