Two and a Half men continues to entertain Australian audiences nightly on Channel Nine, but now the public has the chance to see even more of the comedy series, with the release of Season Six on DVD.
The sixth installment in the franchise sees more of the usual drunken antics from the womanizer Charlie (Charlie Sheen), his PG rated brother Alan (Jon Cryer), and Alan’s adolescent kid, Jake (Angus T. Jones).
This series, however, offers some twists. Charlie once again finds a girl, but this time it is one who tried her best to be a playboy star, Alan contemplates getting back together with his ex-wife Judith, and Jake moves his thoughts over to college and a possible career as a chef after his grandma offers to pay for his education fees.
The collection comes with 24 episodes from the season, including “Taterhead Is Our Love Child,” “The Flavin’ and the Mavin’,” “I Think You Offended Don,” “My Son’s Enormous Head,” and “Baseball Was Better with Steroids”.
The four-disc set offers Dolby Digital stereo, enhanced widescreen options, subtitles for Chinese, French, Portuguese, Spanish-speaking viewers.
The package also comes with a bunch of added extras including an overview of the evolution of Jake and a gag reel of “The Women of Two and Half Men”.
For those of you who love your men humour, this installment of Two and a Half Men is up there with any of the past releases.
While there are some critics of the show, its ratings speak for itself and it is still one of the most popular comedy series currently on air.
