Sex and The City

Sex and The City has become more than just a TV show; it is become a recognised global phenomenon. The first episode of Sex and City was broadcast on US channel HBO in 1998 and has since aired on many other networks worldwide.

Aside from (still) successful re-runs on television networks globally, Sex and The City has also released all six seasons on DVD. The DVD series, plus the Sex and the City film have made Sex and the City a recognisable and unforgettable television series.

The show focuses on four women (all of which have high-powered fashion-obsessed lifestyles) living the New York City dream. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) is the main character in the TV series, who is a columnist for the New York Times and writes about socially relevant issues.

Carrie’s best friends Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda have all that Carrie has, a successful career and fashion style, but none of them seem to have a stable relationship.

The series is quirky and fun, but tackle feminine issues that no show has done before. Sex and The City show sexual issues from a woman’s view and deals with relevant issues like safe sex, heartbreaks, promiscuity, multiple partners and STI’s.

It has a humorous take on the tough, everyday issues and have top notch storylines and glamorous leads, not to mention the shows ability to keep up with fashion style.
