If you loved the US TV series family guy, then you will love comedy in the series American Dad. This laugh-out-loud show is created by the same person and focuses on “a man who will stop at nothing to protect his country”.

The cartoon series is based on Stan Smith, a worker for the CIA who is always on the alert for terrorist activity. And Stan will do all he can to protect his America (and family) from harm. (This displayed in his terror-alert colour code and frequent reaction of shooting holes in the toaster when it pops up).

Throughout the TV series we see Stan’s wife and teenage children and two, rather unconventional members Roger- the sarcastic space alien and Klaus- a German-speaking gold fish. The family has normal everyday issues, and has to deal with sex, drugs and teenager problems, as well as Stan’s super protective stance.
