It has come to that time of the year where we must say goodbye to one of our favourite American sitcoms How I Met Your Mother. Season four of the popular show ends on Monday, leaving many Australian fans disappointed. The next season (season five) is screening in the US come September, but we will have to wait almost a year for it to be shown on Australian network Channel Seven. Although the comedy is finishing up for another year, we shouldn’t be too upset because this years season will soon be available on Bluray and DVD.
If you missed the How I Met Your Mother laughs then you can watch Season four at any time you wish in September. Like most international comedy TV shows, How I Met Your Mother gained significant popularity as we were shown the story of how the main character Ted Mosby fell in love.
It all begins as Ted’s best friend Marshall drops the bombshell that he is going to propose to his long-term girlfriend Lily and it is as that moment Ted has a realization that he had too move on and find love. Also helping him on his quest for love is Barney, a carefree friend with some outrageous opinions but gives Ted his ‘foolproof’ advice on how to meet women. But when Ted meets Robyn, he is positive it is love at first site but destiny may have other views in store.
Each series is narrated through flashbacks from the future and we are taken on the journey of how Ted found his one true love. The highly anticipated season five of How I Met Your Mother will be airing on US channel CBS on September 21st.
Season five is sure to bring us tears and joy, following Ted, Marshall, Lily, Barney and Robyn on their comical journey and will hopefully conclude with Ted’s (final) marriage.
How I Met Your Mother Season 4 final will be screened on network Seven on Monday June 29, 7.30pm.
